Class of 2025
Why UCI?
UCI provides the unique opportunity to train in both a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and at a large academic medical center. By holding our longitudinal continuity clinics at an FQHC, we get the opportunity to serve a diverse, yet systemically under-resourced patient population and develop the skillset to do so effectively. At our academic centers, including UCI Douglas Hospital, VA Long Beach, and Children's Hospital OC, we get to train with expert clinician educators and better understand the nuances of a variety of hospital systems and the patient populations they serve.
Medical Interests:
Primary care for systemically under-resourced populations, immigrant health, community health, health equity, advocacy, antiracism in medicine, medical education.
Hobbies:
Lifting mildly-heavy weights, hiking, listening to Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar albums on repeat, mahjong, and recklessly celebrating every Steph Curry and Klay Thompson 3-pointer!
Fun Facts:
Part of Audio Team leadership with The Clinical Problem Solvers and formerly a volunteer with Project New Start (a free tattoo removal clinic)
Future Plans:
PCP in an FQHC, community & public health, advocacy work, and medical education
